What do you want to improve?

  • Strength and Power?

Do you want to move some iron? Or do you want to move A LOT of iron? Do you want to move A LOT of iron really fast over your head? DUDE. Did we just become best friends?

Whether you want to pick up your kids or grandkids without pain, or you want to add a few more plates to the bar, I would be excited to help you accomplish that.

  • Posture?

When our body is in ideal alignment, we function ideally. When our body is not in ideal alignment, we function. . .not so ideally. This doesn’t mean we have to walk around like a robot with a stick up our butt. It just means we are going to find ways for you to sit, stand, and move that reduces wasted energy, is easier on your body, and gives you an advantage when you do your chosen exercise. Sound good? Yes. Yes it does.

  • Body Composition?

Do you need to lose some fat? Gain some muscle? Both? Let’s find some practical ways to let go of unwanted weight (that do not include crazy crash diets or workouts that you dread).  Let’s develop healhty habits that leave you feeling empowered about yourself, not soured about yourself.

(Yes, I know that last rhymed line was really forced. I’ll try not to do that again.)

  • Balance?

Feeling a little unsteady? We can fix that. By increasing your strength and improving mobility, often times your balance will improve. We can also focus on it directly if you like (and we can have fun doing it).

  • Mobility?

Mobility is important! However, you don’t have to turn yourself into Stretch Armstrong to improve mobility. Sometimes stiffness is a result of the body trying to protect an unstable and weak joint. If we strengthen that joint appropriately, the body will allow a greater range of motion at that joint. Whether you are a yogi or a defensive tackle for The Chicago Bears, we can tailor your program so you are moving the way you want to.

  • Reduce Stress?

A recent study from the University of Southern Australia* showed that exercise is 150% more effective than medication for mental health. Now, that doesn’t mean you stop taking your meds and just do push ups (although push ups are awesome when you are feeling furious). It just means that getting more exercise is an amazing tool that can reduce stress and depression (and improve your quality of life).

  • Endurance?

Are you breathing a little too hard going up a flight of stairs? Is there a race you would like to do, but can’t imagine being able to finish? Or would you just like to be able to go further and faster than you have before? We can improve all these things together.

  • Recovery?

If you train hard, you have to rest hard. Pushing yourself in the gym but not getting adequate rest and nutrition is like depositing your hard earned money into a fire. Don’t burn your gains! We can strategize ways to maximize your down time so you get the most out of your workouts.
